Case Study – Alexander Place

Our case study – Alexander Place in Southampton, showcases a comprehensive renovation project undertaken by our team. This project involved not only the main building, Alexander Place, but also the surrounding structures on Sutton’s Place and James Weld Close in the heart of Southampton city centre. These locations consist of several large apartment blocks, and our company, DMZ Group UK, was entrusted with and successfully awarded the contract to carry out extensive renovation works on all these buildings.

The scope of the project included repairing and repainting all communal areas across the various blocks, each containing at least forty flats. Despite the size and complexity of the task, our team managed to complete the work efficiently within 30 days. Alexander Place served as the flagship building of this project, symbolizing the quality and dedication we brought to the entire operation. Every weekday, our large team worked diligently and consistently to ensure the project stayed on track and met the highest standards.

As with any major project, challenges arose. One notable issue was a complaint from a rival painter regarding the quality of our workmanship. However, given the scale of the undertaking and the number of residents involved, this single negative comment stands as an isolated incident amidst overwhelmingly positive feedback. We view the overall outcome as highly successful, with our work improving the living conditions and appearance of these buildings.

How did we secure a big job

This significant project was secured through Castleford Management, a property management company based in Bournemouth. The contract represented a five-figure investment in the renovation of these structures, underscoring the trust placed in our company’s expertise.
