Our Case Study – Grade Two Building Renovation project required a delicate and precise approach to maintain the traditional aesthetic of this historic property while adhering to strict regulations. The primary goal was to preserve the original charm and ensure the property remained in line with heritage guidelines. This meant sticking to the classic monochrome colour scheme of white and black, which is characteristic of this type of cottage.
For this project, we collaborated with Schweb’s Property Maintenance, who were responsible for the ground-level work, while we focused on the upper levels. Our team at DMZ Group UK utilised scaffolding and three-tier ladders to ensure safe and efficient access to the upper sections of the property. The walls were painted in a crisp, clean white, which enhanced the traditional feel of the building, while the guttering and all wooden elements—including window frames, doors, and fascia boards—were coated in a deep black to provide a striking yet historically accurate contrast.
One of the challenges we faced during this renovation was the unpredictable weather, which required us to take a brief midway break. However, our team remained committed to completing the project within the agreed timeframe. Despite the delay, we successfully finished the work within a week, ensuring minimal disruption for the property owner.
